Services

Bode Architecture can provide assistance with part or all of your project. From concept design to preparation of construction documents, right through to contract administration once on site, Bode is here to help.

As an architect I can act as a consultant and as a designer, able to advise on various aspects of your building project or property related task. This partnership begins with an initial review of your site or existing property and an assessment of any constraints. The next step is to carry out a measured survey of the site or building in order for the design work to commence.

To prepare design proposals, we can work together to develop your own ideas or, if you don’t yet have a design in mind, I can offer suggestions and generate inspiration based on your brief.

I will then liaise with other specialists (Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, etc.) and obtain relevant statutory consents such as Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent or Building Warrant, and any other compulsory legal requirements.

When all necessary approvals have been obtained, I can provide further assistance by preparing detailed construction information for a contractor. If you wish, I can liaise with the contractor throughout the duration of the project and administer the building contract on your behalf.

I appreciate this may be a new and potentially daunting experience you are about to embark on. The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) has prepared a helpful client guide - ‘Why Use a Chartered Architect’ - which can be found here.
